These beautiful folk art and primitive handmade dolls and critters that I sell in this category are all created by hand, by a wonderful artist, and her daughter.

Each is very detailed and the workmanship is remarkable.  Each piece may differ slightly from the picture provided in color of fabric, because they are one of a kind.  They are not massed produced.  If there is a certain color that you want, just let me know and I will submit your request with your order.

All items are handmade upon ordering, so please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.  Some items may be in stock if she has them made ahead.  Please allow extra time during busy Holiday times.

All of the dolls listed are handmade in our shop. My daughter and I take great pride in the making of these dolls.

Each doll takes many hours to create. They are made from mulsin, painted, stained, sanded and aged very slowly. This is a process that does take some time but aging the fabric slowly gives us that old primtive look.

Their clothes are made from primtive fabric that I carefully choose for each doll. The edges are left tattered and most are grubbied.

We use the finest of yarns or wools for their hair. Most of their faces have some needlesculpting....another process that can take some time but again, gives your doll that old, primitive look.
